I got a haircut... after um 1 year and 5 months! For those of you who were not informed, I had a tragic haircut last time (a short mullet), and have been scared to cut my hair again ever since. But, I figured I needed one, especially since I'm going to have to start interviewing for jobs and stuff. I needed something that made me look a little older, and well I'm glad to say that I'm satisfied with my new haircut. :) Whew.
So, for almost the whole day yesterday (except Math) and the whole morning today, I pretty much took over the class. This is pretty crazy considering I've only been in there for a week and half .... Things werent too crazy except for a few conflicts between the girls at recess and some boys making farting noises - but what can I expect.
This week I've officially started again in the classrooms, but this time in a 1st grade classroom! Boy is it different from 6th grade!
Things have been a lot of fun, even though the kids are so squirmy! I've caught almost every single one of the students picking their nose, and most of time eating whatever they find in there too. And boy are their hands dirty!
Anyway, I love getting the pictures and notes from the little girls.
Today, one little girl cut out a heart for me and wrote 2 - 2 = 3 (two minus two equals three). I thought it was some secret code, but then I realized she was showing me her math skills (or something). Anyway, I adore these kids, so cute!
Although they are cute, teaching them is quite different (challenging)!
